A 41-year-old parolee was behind bars Monday on suspicion of transporting nearly 10 pounds of methamphetamine, investigators said.
Guadalupe Flores Molina was arrested on Sunday when a Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 near Mesa Drive.
According to Sgt. Mike McTigue, the deputy performed a parole compliance search during which 10 pounds of pre-packaged methamphetamine were located inside Molina’s vehicle.
Molina was subsequently booked into Blythe Jail on suspicion of possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale. He remains held without bail.
Jail records indicate he will make his initial appearance at the Larson Justice Center on Wednesday.
Molina’s previous criminal history was not immediately available.
