A Coachella man is behind bars Tuesday on suspicion of stalking and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Adan Ramon Hernandez, 26, was arrested Tuesday when sheriff’s deputies conducted a search at two residences in the 49300 block of Polk Street, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
According to Sgt. Mariano Matos, the search warrant stemmed from a stalking and weapons investigation. While searching the residences, deputies allegedly found a loaded shotgun and handgun.
Hernandez was subsequently arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, stalking, felony vandalism and violation of a domestic violence restraining order, authorities said. He remains held there on $50,000 bail.
Jail records indicate Hernandez will make an appearance at the Larson Justice Center on Thursday regarding the allegations.
