Santa Ana High School students and faculty sheltered in place for hours Thursday afternoon as police scoured the campus to clear it from a threat of a bomb.
Someone called the school at 520 W. Walnut St. just before 12:30 p.m. alleging that he was armed with a bomb on campus, said Santa Ana police Cpl. Maria Lopez. The lockdown was lifted at 4:20 p.m. when police cleared the campus of any threat, but did not find any suspect or a bomb, she added.
Police were investigating whether the threat was a prank or real, Lopez said.
