More than 50 firefighters put out flames in a vacant downtown medical building in 36 minutes Saturday evening.
The fire was reported at 9:51 p.m. in a mixed one- and two-story building at 1825 S. Main St. that had previously burned, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
Flames were showing through the roof when firefighters arrived, Stewart said. They stayed outside the building to protect surrounding structures while dousing flames from a safe distance.
No injuries were reported, she said.
