Authorities Tuesday identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in Playa del Rey.
The crash was reported at about 6:15 a.m. Monday at Imperial Highway and Vista del Mar, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Jay LaPlante of Manhattan Beach, 48, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
