The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department will have a news conference Thursday at 10 a.m. to announce a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two suspects believed to have participated in the fatal stabbing of 31-year-old Lentrail Hicks in 2020.
Hicks was stabbed in November 9, 2020, in the 6700 block of South Compton Avenue in the Florence/Forestone area, according to the coroner’s office.

Sheriff’s detectives said the two suspects were Hispanic men between 18 and 22 years old. The LASD said they left the scene in 2005-2009 dark gray Toyota Prius. The suspects were last seen heading west on 68th Street from Compton Avenue.
The news conference will be at the LASD’s homicide Bureau office at 1 Cupania Circle. Hicks family members will also be at the news conference. Anyone with information on this homicide was asked to call LASD detectives at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
