Firefighters gained control of a fire Friday in Westchester after 19 minutes.
It took 26 firefighters to knock down the blaze, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
Fire crews responded at 3:48 a.m. to a two-story apartment fire at 6900 S. Knowlton Place where authorities believe the blaze started in a dryer in a second-story laundry room.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
