More than 700 marijuana plants were seized Friday at a Perris property converted into an illegal indoor grow site.

According to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. David Marshall, earlier this month, deputies received information regarding a possible illegal cultivation operation within a house in the 3500 block of Pyramid Trail, near Saddleback Way, in an area known as Monument Ranch.

Marshall said that the ensuing investigation confirmed that the property was being used to cultivate cannabis, culminating in a search warrant being obtained and served at the location Friday morning.

“As a result of the search warrant, over 700 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were eradicated,” the sergeant said.

No one was arrested, and sheriff’s officials did not say whether the operators of the indoor grow had been identified.
