A five-acre brush fire burning in Jurupa Valley that injured two people was 70% contained Saturday morning, officials said.
The blaze was first reported at 5:48 p.m. Friday near Limonite Avenue and El Palomino Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire was burning in a riverbottom area but Saturday afternoon it spread to a nearby Rite Aid drug store, though firefighters managed to keep the flames to the roof, officials said.
One firefighter and one civilian suffered minor injuries and both were taken to a hospital.
Firefighters from various agencies, including the Riverside and Corona fire departments, worked alongside county firefighters overnight to build containment lines.
Authorities warned motorists to exercise caution while driving in the area as firefighters continue to work toward full containment of the blaze.
