A scooter rider was injured Saturday afternoon when a parked vehicle pulled out in front of him, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 1:52 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway at Heathercliff Road, according to Lt. Dustin Carr of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu-Lost Hills station.
The adult scooter rider suffered “bumps and scrapes,” and was taken to a hospital by paramedics to be treated, Carr said.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene, he said.
The No. 1 eastbound lane of PCH was shut down at Heathercliff Road for about 20 minutes, Carr added.
