Authorities Tuesday identified a woman who was fatally shot in Blythe.

Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway in Blythe at around 8 p.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired, according to the Blythe Police Department.

They arrived to find an unconscious female adult suffering from various gunshot wounds. Police said officers attempted life-saving measures, but she subsequently died at the scene.

The woman was identified by the Riverside County coroner’s office as 26-year-old Selena Rivera of Blythe.
