A man was found unresponsive by hikers Saturday in the Temescal Canyon area in Pacific Palisades and pronounced dead at the scene.
The discovery was made at 12:58 p.m. at 1598 Bienveneda Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.
“Dispatchers provided instructions to multiple bystanders who took turns providing CPR,” Prange said. “After Firefighters/Paramedics arrived, they took over resuscitative measures for approximately 20 minutes, but sadly, the man was beyond medical help and declared dead at the scene.”
Firefighters summoned Los Angeles Police Department and coroner’s investigators to the scene, he said.
A description of the man was not immediately provided.
