Two suspects accused of posting threats of violence at Bell Gardens High School on social media have been taken into police custody and booked, according to the Bell Gardens Police Department in a release Monday.
The police department was notified of the social media posts on Sunday. Detectives from the department’s special investigations unit conducted an investigation and were able to identify the suspect who made the threat, Sgt. John Acosta said in a statement.
Detectives observed two adult suspects enter a vehicle. The suspects were stopped by detectives, who conducted a search of their vehicle and found two stolen firearms, body armor, high-capacity magazines and ammunition, Acosta said.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked
The Bell Gardens Police Department is working with the Montebello Unified School District and law enforcement partners to share information.
