A motorist was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle crash in Irwindale, authorities said.
A gray 2015 Honda was going southbound on Irwindale Avenue, south of Central Avenue, at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday when it struck a raised center divider and then a palm tree on the same island, said Sgt. Diego Cornejo of the Irwindale Police Department.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene pronounced the motorist, the lone occupant inside the car, dead at the scene.
The man’s name will be released pending notification of next of kin, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
