One person was wounded in a shooting near the Newport Beach Pier and police Saturday are searching for suspects.
Newport Beach police responded at approximately 10:32 p.m. Friday to the pier at 1 Newport Pier, where they found the victim, according to the website County News.TV.
The victim, whose gender and age were unknown, was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Police cordoned off the area and established a perimeter to search for the suspects, who were not identified.
It was unclear what prompted the shooting.
