A garage fire at a one-story home in the West Hills area was extinguished, police said Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to 23719 W. Hartland St., between Sherman Way and Vanowen Street, at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
They saw flames consuming an attached garage and discovered the flames had spread to the attic and living space of the home. It took 28 firefighters 31 minutes to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
