A small earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.2 struck Thursday about four miles northeast of Sierra Madre, but no injuries or damage were reported.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 3:08 p.m., centered 4.2 miles north-northwest of Monrovia and 4.8 miles north-northeast of Arcadia.
The quake struck at a depth of about 8 miles.
