Firefighters extinguished a brush fire that burned approximately two acres Thursday, threatening nearby residents in West Hills.

It took approximately 100 Los Angeles Fire Department crews and additional resources from Los Angeles County Fire Department to respond to the 25000 block of Kittridge Street at around 4:31 p.m. and work collaboratively to knock down the fire within 72 minutes, according to spokesman Nicholas Prange of the LAFD.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
