A brush fire in Acton burned approximately 14 acres and threatened nearby structures Monday before its progress was stopped.
The fire was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Dwight Lee Street, near Crown Valley Road, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman.
An LACFD aircraft was requested to assist with airdrops of water.
The spokesman reported around 7:05 p.m. that the progress of the fire had been stopped and that firefighters would remain on the scene for several hours for a clean-up operation.
There were no reported injuries.
According to the spokesman, drivers were expected to experience traffic delays in the area.
