Firefighters stopped the forward progress of a brush fire near the Kagel Canyon area Friday that burned approximately three acres with no reported injuries.
The Los Angeles Fire Department assisted the Angeles National Forest shortly after 2:55 p.m. in extinguishing a brush fire that burned uphill in minimal winds in the 11700 block of West Pierce Street, according to Margaret Stewart with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Fire crews stopped the forward progress of the fire around 3:40 p.m., with no reports of structural damage, Stewart said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
