A magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported near Bell at 4:37 a.m. Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
It was centered 1.1 miles southwest of Bell and 1.2 miles east of Walnut Park.
It was about 9 miles deep.
The earthquake was centered 1.2 miles northeast of South Gate and 1.3 miles northwest of Cudahy.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
It follows a magnitude 3.0 earthquake that was centered about a half mile southwest of Bell at 9:41 p.m. Tuesday.
