An electrical malfunction ignited a fire Saturday at a two-story home in Woodland Hills, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 8:56 a.m. to 4946 N. Llano Drive had the fire out within 19 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“Two elderly occupants evacuated themselves from the structure after smelling smoke coming from the floor above,” the LAFD’s Nicholas Prange said.
“Firefighters confined the fire to the room of origin, preventing it from spreading to the attic or ground floor,” Prange said. “The cause was determined to be an electrical malfunction.”
No injuries were reported.
