Firefighters worked Saturday evening to put out heavy flames that were showing from a Woodland Hills house when they arrived.

The fire was reported at 10:17 p.m. at 22521 W. Styles St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange. It is near the Arroyo Calabasas. The fire was out by 10:40 p.m.

“Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing from an attached garage, and made an aggressive attack, working from the uninvolved to the involved portion of the structure with hose lines, and confined the damage to the garage only,” Prange said.

All occupants got out of the two-story house, Prange said. Firefighters located a pet inside the house and brought it out unharmed.

One person was evaluated at the scene for a minor medical complaint but did not require transport to a hospital, he said.
