A 29-year-old man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon in a domestic disturbance in Moreno Valley Monday was arrested.
Officers responded to the 16000 block of Kensington Place, near Parkside Lane, at 9:27 a.m., according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Alfredo Medina.
All occupants were standing outside the residence except for the suspect, Gerardo Martin. Medina said a preliminary investigation revealed to deputies that Martin threatened the victim with a shotgun Saturday, just two days before Monday’s threat against the victim.
The victim reported to dispatch Monday that Martin was destroying residential property and armed with a shotgun.
According to Medina, the victim felt threatened and believed Martin was going to shoot him before he was threatened by Martin with a gun two days ago.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deputies responded to the residence based on Martin’s previous behavior, and a search warrant was executed.
Martin was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, Medina said. The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Investigator McCracken at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station at 951-486-6700.
