A large branch fell from a tree onto two vehicles in El Sereno Friday evening, trapping one motorist.
Firefighters responded around 6:55 p.m. to the 4800 block of Huntington Drive, near Eastern Avenue, regarding a tree branch falling onto two vehicles where one motorist became trapped, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The motorist was in stable condition, Stewart said. However, an extended rescue operation was likely to ensure the person’s safety and to remove the tree branch properly, which will affect traffic, according to Stewart.
Authorities advised the public to utilize alternative routes.
The Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the incident.
