A fire damaged a residential property in the Highland Park area Monday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent around 1 p.m. to the 100 block of East Sycamore Park Drive extinguished the flames in 17 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The flames damaged a garage and extended into an attached building, the LAFD reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Some firefighters remained on the scene Monday afternoon dousing hot spots.
