Felony charges are expected to be filed Wednesday against a 21-year-old man suspected of perpetrating multiple armed robberies in Moreno Valley and Cabazon.
Wesley Denzale Hall of Moreno Valley was arrested and booked Monday into the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of robbery and attempted robbery. Hall is being held in lieu of $210,000 bail.
His case was under review Tuesday by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
According to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, between April and August, Hall held up gas stations and convenience stores in Cabazon and Moreno Valley.
A total of four businesses were targeted, Martinez said.
The last robbery occurred on the morning of Aug. 4 in the 24000 block of JFK Drive in Moreno Valley, according to the sergeant. He said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the gas station and fled.
Detectives spent the ensuing weeks reviewing evidence and ultimately identified Hall as the alleged robber. Additional clues were obtained pointing to the same suspect in three other holdups, Martinez said.
The young man was taken into custody without incident in the area of Filaree Avenue and Perris Boulevard on Monday afternoon.
Background information on Hall was unavailable.
