A brush fire sparked by a two-vehicle collision burned about a quarter-acre of vegetation in the Hollywood Hills Tuesday, but no structures were damaged.
According to spokesman Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters responded to the brush fire in the 3000 block of North Lake Hollywood Drive around 2:50 p.m.
Prange said a two-vehicle collision sparked the fire, but neither of the vehicles actually burned. About a quarter-acre of brush burned, along with a small spot fire that broke out about 100 yards from the original blaze, fire officials said.
Fire crews reported the flames were fully extinguished around 3:45 p.m.
One woman was assessed at the scene for minor injuries sustained from the traffic collision, but she was not taken to a hospital.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.
