A brush fire sparked by a two-vehicle collision burned slowly uphill Tuesday in the Hollywood Hills, but no structural damage was immediately reported.
According to spokesman Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters responded to the brush fire in the 3000 block of North Lake Hollywood Drive around 2:50 p.m.
Prange said a two-vehicle collision sparked the fire, but neither of the vehicles actually burned. By mid-afternoon the fire had burned about a quarter-acre of brush.
One person was assessed at the scene for possible injuries, the extent of which were unclear.
The cause of the collision that sparked the fire was under investigation.
