A man in his 50s was shot in South Los Angeles Thursday evening.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 10:31 p.m. to Main and East 119th streets where they learned the victim was approached by the suspect, who shot him with a semi-automatic pistol, Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect, who Madison said was dressed in green clothing, ran away from the scene.
