A passenger in a Chevrolet sedan was killed in a two-vehicle crash with a Jeep Sunday at an intersection in Lancaster.

The crash occurred at about 6:25 a.m. near the intersection of 10th Street West and Avenue L, according to Detective Jorge Diaz of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station.

The Jeep was going eastbound on Avenue L when it crashed into a sedan that was going southbound on 10th Street West, Diaz said.

Paramedics pronounced the passenger, a woman, dead at the scene, he said. No other injuries were reported.

“The cause of the crash is still being investigated,” Diaz said. “Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factor.”
