Authorities Tuesday are searching for two suspects who were involved in a pursuit that ended in a deadly crash in South Gate where an innocent driver was killed.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department began pursuing a reported stolen Ranger Rover on Monday afternoon in East Los Angeles where the vehicle was stolen. The pursuit ended around 3:30 p.m. Monday when the driver crashed into other vehicles near Southern Avenue and State Street, CBS 2 reported.

At least five vehicles were damaged in the crash, ABC7 reported.

A man driving a Nissan Sentra was killed during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

One suspect was taken into custody and deputies are still looking for two additional suspects, who ran away from the crash scene.

In addition to the dead Nissan Sentra driver, a woman in a Toyota 4Runner was injured, CBS 2 reported.
