A motorist was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in the Lancaster area.
The man died at the scene of the crash, which was reported about 10:40 a.m. on the southbound 14 Freeway near Avenue G, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorist was not immediately identified.
According to the CHP, one southbound lane was blocked in the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash, but the lane was reopened by early afternoon.
