A man was fatally shot Wednesday in the Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles, and an investigation was underway.
Officers went to the 3100 block of West Pico Boulevard about 7:30 a.m. on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Police department.
The wounded man, who was homeless and apparently in his mid-30s, died at the scene, police said. Information was not immediately available on his identity.
No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was released.
