Authorities Wednesday were searching for a man who punched another man who was pushing his grandchild in a stroller in Calabasas.
The crime occurred about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 4000 block of Lost Springs Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“As the victim was walking his infant grandchild in a stroller, the suspect struck the victim in the face and fled the location in … (a) vehicle,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
The vehicle was described as a silver 2005 Honda Odyssey with Nevada license plate number 183W80.
Security video from a nearby home shows the suspect walking toward the other man and punching him in the head without any apparent provocation. The man falls to the ground and the stroller is knocked onto its side. The suspect then casually walks away, gets into a van and drives away. According to ABC7, the man and child were not seriously injured.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the sheriff’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station at 818-878-1808, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Tipsters may also use the website lacrimestoppers.org.
