A 27-year-old man was identified as the person killed during a multi-vehicle crash on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita that also injured another person.
He was Emilio Carbajal Cruz, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
The crash occurred about 1:35 a.m. Sunday on the southbound freeway at Newhall Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics dispatched to the location at 1:38 a.m. rushed one person to a hospital, according to a county fire department dispatcher. That person’s condition was not known.
The crash involved a white Chevy Camaro and at least two other vehicles, the CHP said.
A SigAlert, issued at 1:49 a.m. closing the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 lanes of the southbound freeway for an unknown duration, was canceled at 7:43 a.m.
