A man was shot to death in Whittier, authorities said Monday.
The shooting was reported at about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 5700 block of Esperanza Avenue, near Amigo Park west of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The location is an unincorporated area next to the Whittier city limits, according to Dep. Tracy Koerner.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.
There was no suspect or motive information available.
