Two high school students suffered non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Riverside, according to a press release by the city of Riverside.
The Riverside Police assigned to the Traffic Bureau responded to a traffic incident on Magnolia Avenue at Cortez Street at 8:13 a.m. Friday.
A preliminary investigation revealed a male driver of a Hyundai SUV was east on Magnolia Avenue across the street from Ramona High School and struck the students, who were crossing the street within the crosswalk.
All three people were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
It was not known whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
