A man allegedly armed with a machete was shot and wounded by deputies Tuesday at an Albertsons in Lancaster, according to reports from the scene.
Paramedics sent to the 43500 block of 20th Street West at about 9:45 a.m. on a medical call took a person to a hospital in unknown condition, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, an investigation was underway involving a deputy shooting, but further details were not immediately available.
