A mobile crane fire in Wilmington was quickly extinguished Friday evening with no injuries reported.
The fire was reported at 9:23 p.m. and Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to the 1000 block of North Farragut Avenue, adjacent to the Terminal Island (103) Freeway, where they were able to protect exposed containers from the flames coming from the large diesel crane, said LAFD spokesman Bert Fierro.
Upon further investigation the containers were found to be empty, Fierro said.
