Firefighters Saturday evening were investigating an apparent explosion that damaged a two-story, garden-style Van Nuys apartment building.
The explosion was reported at 5:38 p.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of North Woodman Avenue, just south of Valerio Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Connor Thompson.
There were no signs of fire or smoke when firefighters arrived but they did see damage, Thompson said.
No injuries were reported, he said.
