One person was killed and a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy was injured during a shooting Tuesday evening in Lakewood.
The shooting occurred at Downey Avenue and Artesia Boulevard and television video showed a vehicle on top of the deputy’s patrol car at the scene, CBS 2 reported.
It was not immediately known how the deputy was injured or how the suspect died. The deputy was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The intersection of Downey Avenue and Artesia Boulevard will be closed while deputies examine the scene for possible evidence and look for any surveillance video at the scene, CBS 2 reported.
