A 25-year-old man was behind bars Wednesday on suspicion of a shooting in Blythe that resulted in the death of a man.

Efren Ezequiel Magana of Blythe was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of multiple charges including murder, according to the Blythe Police Department.

Officers responded at around 12:15 a.m. that day to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of South Third Street, police said.

He was being held at the Blythe Jail on $1 million bail, according to inmate records.

Anyone with additional information about the alleged homicide was asked to call the Blythe Police Department at 760-922-6111.
