A person was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Santa Ana Friday.
Paramedics responded to the 400 block of South Santa Fe Street, near Fourth Street and Grand Avenue, around 3:55 p.m. Friday to a report regarding a train hitting a pedestrian, where the victim was discovered dead at the scene, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
It was unclear what led up to the fatal collision, and the cause was under an ongoing investigation Friday evening.
Authorities were withholding the victim’s name pending notification of relatives.
