A 58-year-old hiker was rescued after fracturing his knee Sunday in Topanga State Park in Brentwood.
The hiker was hurt in remote terrain between Sullivan Road and Rustic Creek at around 1:45 p.m., according to spokesman Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
An LAFD air crew lowered a paramedic to the scene and hoisted the man into a rescue helicopter to transport him to a hospital, Humphrey said.
No additional information was immediately available.
