At least one person was wounded in a shooting Monday near George Washington Preparatory High School.
Deputies responded to the intersection of 108th Street and Normandie Avenue, in the unincorporated Westmont area near Inglewood around 3:50 p.m. to reports regarding shots fired, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The injured person was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting or if it was gang-related.
