At least one person was killed Monday morning in a crash on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 12:27 a.m. on the westbound side of the Riverside Freeway east of the 15 Freeway.
A witness reported a vehicle was overturned on the left shoulder and was on fire. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies reportedly stopped on the eastbound side and tried to help.
The Riverside County coroner’s office was summoned at 12:54 a.m.
The CHP shut down all westbound lanes and diverted traffic off the freeway at McKinley Street.
