Firefighters extinguished a fire Sunday in an abandoned, vacant commercial building in Boyle Heights.
The blaze at 320 S. Soto St. was reported at 10:32 a.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The department dispatched 35 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in the 1,450-square-foot former restaurant in 13 minutes, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
