A suspicious device found on the lawn of a Sherman Oaks home prompted a bomb squad response Monday, but it was ultimately determined not to pose a threat.

The bomb squad was dispatched at 7:12 a.m. to Hazeltine Avenue and Ventura Boulevard. Around 11 a.m., police announced that the device had been determined to be safe.

It was not immediately clear what the device was.

No injuries were reported and no evacuations were ordered.

Firefighters and paramedics were called out to the location, by police, at 8:56 a.m. as a standby, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
