The Los Angeles Fire Department is assisting the L.A. County fire department and the Ventura County Fire Department in battling a vegetation fire in a remote section of Browns Canyon.
The fire is in the Mutual Threat Zone, near 12170 N. Browns Canyon Road, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey. It was reported around 10:40 p.m. Saturday.
The area is north of the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway west of Porter Ranch.
Humphrey said the fire poses no imminent threat to residents of the city of Los Angeles.
